Once the shortcut has been added to the taskbar, you can drag and drop it to the desktop. The easiest way is to search for the Calculator app in Windows Search, right-click and select the Pin to taskbar option. Sometimes it happens and several users have reported that creating desktop shortcut helped. The Calculator app may not start from the Start menu for some reason. If not then I suggest you do a manual reboot once as this step can help resolve the issue. More often than not, when you update the operating system, Windows 10 will restart automatically. If no update is available or if the missing calculator does not resolve the issue, read on. When you see that there is an update for the Calculator app, click Update All button immediately to update all apps. You will see a list of all available updates here. Open the Windows Store and click the menu icon to select Downloads and updates.
Next we will see if there is an update for the Calculator app itself. Most of the time you can see what the update is about, and maybe an app is mentioned? Under the Windows Update tab on the left, you can check for and install new updates.
